"Disco In Heaven"

For the Fall/Winter 2009 Collection, Another Important Culture designer, Manami Kobayashi,
draws inspiration from "Disco in Heaven." Kobayashi finds herself drifting back to a more playful time -the 70s disco era.
The designer combines the glitz and glam of the generation with neutral tones of silk chiffon to create her perception of
what an angel would wear at a disco in heaven.

The collection embraces different shades of white, silver and gold, as well as incorporating colors of the rainbow,
ranging from pastel pink, green, yellow, and beige to grey and black.
Ethereal dresses, airy knit sweaters, Angel printed tops and embellished vests all combine to create an intricate balance
between the use of bold ornamental detail and gentle fabrics.

In keeping with the inspiration of the collection, Kobayashi uses printed silks, cottons and exotic wools to ensure each piece is
soft to the touch. Beige knit wear, flair pants, digital prints, cashmere tops and mohair tie-dye capture the vibrance of the disco era
creating a euphoric feeling of heaven; while radiating an aura of sweetness, elegance and enchantment.
